Mocha "Bulletproof" Coffee

So this marks my first attempt at bulletproof coffee. And I'm not claiming ownership of the concept, nor do I proclaim that my version is 100% authentic. I came up with this one based on advice from some readers on Facebook, and I was really pleased with the results.

I had a 6:30am breakfast, worked out and then had this at about noon. I found I wasn't honestly hungry again until about 4, so I'd certainly describe it as filling. I also didn't have any of the jitters I sometimes get after a mug of coffee, and it didn't send me running to the bathroom either.

I'm not going to claim this offered me amazing mental clarity, and I'm sure some bulletproof diehards can chime in that I need to use butter as well, or drink it first thing in the morning, or use MCT oil instead of coconut. I just know I felt good after drinking this, and that I thought it was tasty and satisfying enough to share.

Mocha "Bulletproof" Coffee

2 cups freshly brewed coffee
1 tbs. coconut oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tbs. unsweetened cacao powder
2 tbs. coconut or unsweetened almond milk
liquid stevia, to taste (can use other natural sweetener)

Combine all ingredients but sweetener in a high-powered blender.

Mix until smooth and sweeten to taste.
