Sugar-Free Banana & Avocado Shake
I'm on day 6 of a sugar detox, and this one really hit the spot after a hot and sweaty run this morning! It's got the perfect balance of cold, creamy and sweet without an ounce of added sweetener.
I used to always add almond butter to similar concoctions, but lately I've opted for almond meal instead. It adds a nice texture and blends even more easily with the other ingredients. You can also add 1-2 tbs. of unsweetened cocoa powder if you'd like a chocolate-flavored shake.
Banana & Avocado Shake
1 small frozen green-tipped banana, cut into chunks
1/2 ripe avocado
handful of baby spinach
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbs. almond meal
1 cup coconut or unsweetened almond milk
Blend all ingredients together until smooth and enjoy!
