Broiling is my favorite way to prepare salmon, as it couldn't be quicker and easier, but also adds a nice crispness to the exterior. I threw this glaze together with what I had on hand and loved the results!
You can tweak the amount of palm sugar based on how sweet you want the glaze.
Paleo Sweet & Spicy Glazed Salmon
1/4 cup palm sugar
3 tbs. dijon mustard
2 tbs. coconut aminos
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. ground fresh ginger
1/4 tsp. sesame oil
1.5 lb. wild salmon, cut into 4 fillets
salt & pepper, to taste
Turn on broiler.
Combine the sugar, mustard, coconut aminos, paprika, ginger and oil in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil.
Cook and stir the sugar is dissolved. Taste for sweetness.
Place salmon skin side down on a greased broiler pan. Sprinkle generously with pepper and salt.
Broil salmon for 10-15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork, brushing glaze over salmon during the last 1-2 minutes of cooking.
