Paleo Apple-Peach Cobbler Shake

I have a shake just about every morning to start my day, and they usually lean toward the green side of the spectrum. This one is a nice change of pace, and really does taste like an indulgent treat! Since it contains two fruits it doesn't require any additional sweetener.

While my kids are down with *some* of my green shakes and smoothies, they both absolutely adore this one.

Paleo Apple-Peach Cobbler Shake

1 cup frozen organic peach slices
1/4 of a cut apple (I don't peel)
1 tbs. ground flax
3 tbs. raw pecans
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tbs. lemon juice
pinch of salt
1 cup coconut water or unsweetened almond/coconut milk
1 scoop hemp vanilla protein powder (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender and process until smooth.

  2. The taste is excellent but I can't get past the texture of the pecans! But it's really good.
