Pan-Seared Tuna w Salsa

Tonight I whipped out an old favorite: Tyler Florence's Pan-Seared Tuna with Avocado, Soy, Ginger and Lime. I have posted it before, as I love how easily it comes together and the flavor combinations it includes.

Since I've made it so often, though, I wanted to change things up a bit. Instead of just serving the tuna with avocado sliced on top, I went for salsa incorporating avocado and a little fresh pineapple. The sweetness of the pineapple really helped balance out the kick of the jalapeno in both the salsa and on the tuna. Yum! It made me wish for a warm summer day, as opposed to the dreary reality of snow mixed with rain...

If you're a fan of tuna at all, you HAVE to try the Tyler Florence recipe! I cannot recommend it highly enough.
