Rosemary Spiced Nuts

Today's recipe is a quickie, as I'm in full-blown planning mode for the little New Year's Eve get-together we're having tomorrow. Nothing too fancy, just three other couples and their kids (making 8 shorties in total).

I tried to prepare a few things ahead of time, one of which was a batch of spiced nuts. I adapted this recipe from several similar that I ran into online. Rosemary is probably my favorite herb, so I looked around for a way to incorporate it with nuts.

Rosemary Spiced Nuts

1 lb. total raw nuts (I used 1/2 cashew, 1/2 almonds)
2 tbs. melted butter
3 tbs. chopped fresh rosemary
1 tbs. palm sugar
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tbs. salt

Roast nuts in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, combine butter with rosemary, sugar and pepper. Pour this mixture over nuts and mix around with a spoon to thoroughly coat nuts. Sprinkle with salt and toss again. Leave on baking sheet to dry out.
